Leveling Up in Pokémon GO: What You Get

It’s pretty basic: you want to level up. Leveling up in Pokémon GO gets you rewards – items that make playing the game better (and more fun). As you level up you also unlock new items. How do you level up? The most common ways of getting XP are by catching and evolving Pokémon, winning gym battles and visiting Pokestops.

It’s unknown how many levels there are, but there are at least 20. For those first 20 levels, here’s exactly what you get and how many XP points it takes:

Level 2 – 1,000 XP Points Required

  • 10 Poké Balls

Level 3 – 2,000 XP Points Required

  • 15 Poké Balls

Level 4 – 3,000 XP Points Required

  • 15 Poké Balls

Level 5 – 4,000 XP Points Required

  • 20 Poké Balls
  • 10 Potions
  • 10 Revive
  • 1 Incense
  • 1 Egg Incubator

Level 6 – 5,000 XP Points Required

  • 15 Poké Balls
  • 10 Potions
  • 5 Revive

Level 7 – 6,000 XP Points Required

  • 15 Poké Balls
  • 10 Potions
  • 5 Revive
  • 1 Incense

Level 8 – 7,000 XP Points Required

  • 15 Poké Balls
  • 10 Potions
  • 5 Revive
  • 10 Razz Berry
  • 1 Lure Module

Level 9 – 8,000 XP Points Required

  • 15 Poké Balls
  • 10 Potions
  • 5 Revive
  • 3 Razz Berry
  • 1 Lucky Egg

Level 10 – 9,000 XP Points Required

  • 20 Poké Balls
  • 20 Super Potions
  • 10 Revive
