If you want to eat and also catch Pokémon, look no further than Yelp. For years now, Yelp has been helping people find restaurants and other businesses that match their needs. You can refine your search by filtering for a place good for kids, one that offers a military discount, and now…one with a PokéStop nearby.
The Yelp PokéStop filter was only available in the US, Australia and New Zealand at first. On July 22, 2016, it was expanded to include Germany, Italy, Spain and the U.K. If you’re in one of those countries, you’re in luck!
It’s easy to use Yelp’s filter to find PokéStops. Here’s Yelp’s quick run-down:
As you head into a weekend full of wild Zubats and Charmanders, remember to open up your Yelp app or search Yelp.com for businesses with a nearby PokéStop. To do this on mobile or desktop, simply search for a type of local business (“bars,” “restaurants,” etc.), swipe through the filter options at the top, hit “PokéStop Nearby,” and voilà! You can now find places to simultaneously run errands AND stock up on materials needed to catch that Eevee you’ve been eyeing.
Pokémon Go Pro Tips:
- The PokéStop filter feature is available on the Yelp app and also on their website.
- This filter relies on Yelp user submissions for this information, so it’s helpful for all users if you complete the survey after checking in to a Yelp location.
